Michael Jackson’s: This Is It (2009)

A compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London.

Atlanta (2-0) at Los Angeles (1-1)

The Los Angeles Lakers’ favorable schedule over the first six-plus weeks of the season was expected to help them vault to the top of the Western Conference standings.

That won’t happen if they keep repeating their latest performance.

Coming off their worst loss at Staples Center in two seasons, the Lakers try for their fourth straight home win over the Atlanta Hawks, who are looking to improve to 3-0 as they open a four-game trip.

With 17 of their first 21 games at home and only one two-game trip until mid-December, the defending champion Lakers were expected by some to open the season with an extended winning streak.

Minnesota (1-1) at Phoenix (2-0)

Steve Nash(notes) has yet another target for his well-timed passes.

Coming off one of the ?est performances of his career, Nash will be on the court with Jason Richardson(notes) for the first time this season as the Phoenix Suns host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night.

Nash had 20 assists - reaching that mark for the sixth time - while adding 18 points in Phoenix’s 123-101 win over Golden State on Friday night. That performance came two days after he scored 14 fourth-quarter points, along with winning basket, to lead the Suns to a 109-107 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in their opener.

The 35-year-old point guard just missed his first 20-point, 20-assist game in regulation Friday. He had one in a triple-overtime loss to New York on Jan. 2, 2006.

Portland (1-2) at Oklahoma City (2-0)

Last season, the Oklahoma City Thunder didn’t win their third game until mid-December. They’ll get the chance to reach that mark much sooner in 2009-10.

Oklahoma City goes for the franchise’s first 3-0 start in six seasons Sunday night, when it hosts a Portland Trail Blazers team that’s dropped two straight.

In their first season after relocating from Seattle, the Thunder dropped 24 of their first 26 before finishing with a 23-59 record. Oklahoma City defeated Toronto 91-83 on Dec. 19 for its third victory.

It’s been a different story this season. Led by Kevin Durant(notes), who scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, Oklahoma City defeated Detroit 91-83 on Friday following a 13-point victory over Sacramento two nights earlier.

New Orleans (1-1) at Boston (3-0)

After a sluggish finish to last season, the Boston Celtics look refreshed and rejuvenated. That was bad news for the first two opponents to visit TD Garden.

Chris Paul(notes) and the New Orleans Hornets look to provide a tougher test at Boston, while the Celtics will try to stay hot when the teams meet Sunday night.

Boston opened the season with an impressive victory at Cleveland and avoided any drama in its subsequent games, winning twice at home by an average of more than 30 points.

The Celtics (3-0) held Charlotte to 59 points at TD Garden on Wednesday, then relied on offense to cruise past Chicago on Friday. Boston’s 38-point third quarter was the decisive blow in a 118-90 victory.

Chicago (1-1) at Miami (2-0)

Jermaine O’Neal’s(notes) offseason training in Illinois seems to have paid off. The Chicago Bulls put in hard work there as well to prepare for the early season test they have endured.

O’Neal, looking strong in his first two games, leads the undefeated Heat into Sunday night’s matchup with a Bulls team that has had mixed results during a pair of tough matchups.

Miami (2-0) acquired O’Neal from Toronto in February, but sore knees impaired his play and he failed to get more than five rebounds in 14 of 27 regular-season games with the Heat.

O’Neal changed his diet and rehabbed over the summer in Chicago with Tim Grover, the former personal trainer of Michael Jordan, and this season has performed like the player that finished third in the league MVP voting in 2004.
