Video: Shaq vs. Oscar De La Hoya in Las Vegas
Shaquille O'Neal's(notes) reality show, "Shaq Vs." debuted to mixed reviews Tuesday night as the Cleveland Cavaliers' star took on Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The debut was far from a smash hit, drawing a 2.7/4 final rating and just 4.2 million viewers, but it did have its moments. Mainly Shaq losing to Big Ben at a backyard game of H-O-R-S-E and this particularly funny exchange:
"I know I can play quarterback. I played quarterback when I was little," Shaq says at one point.
"When were you little?" Big Ben asks, his eyes widening in surprise.
Anyway, eyeballs or not, the show must go on. And thanks to this sneak peek from TMZ we now know that a future episode does indeed see Shaq strap on the gloves to fight retired boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya.
Note: I would usually cry "spoiler" here, but, well, the only real "spoiler" is that Shaq is really, really big.
Believe it or not, that is not Verne Troyer in there trading jabs with Shaq. In fact, De La Hoya is actually 5-feet-10-inches tall and probably weighs around 150 pounds. Once again, Shaq is really, really big. Wow.
